“The Magi’s Daughter” is book two in The Prophecy Girl trilogy but I didn’t find it necessary to read the first book in the series to understand this one. So, no worries if you choose to read this as a stand-alone. “The Magi’s Daughter” blends together the supernatural and erotic in an impressively entertaining and stimulating way. Magis naturally have a voracious libido and after reading this book I’ve never wanted a supernatural experience more in my life. The erotica is superb and plentiful. Each erotic scene introduced an entirely new sexual variation so be assured there is something for every preference. Just about every combination of partners is covered in delicious detail. The scenes between Dmitiri and Lindsey were off the charts. They make an incredible couple.Dmitiri and Lindsey are two of the few remaining magi. They have an 18 year old daughter, Cereza. Though Cereza’s parents are highly sexual they have kept a tight rein on her to ensure she is mature enough to handle her powers when the time comes. Cereza knows she is different, but is not fully aware of the massive powers she possesses. Nor is she aware that she has a starring role in a Magi prophecy that could result in her death and those she loves. Angelito Tarrago, an old enemy of Cereza’s parents surfaces after many years. Angelito, a wickedly powerful magus, is determined to see the prophecy come to fruition. In addition to the incredible erotica the overall storyline is intense and engrossing. The author incorporates plenty of suspenseful and thrilling moments outside of the bedroom as the story moves from one character scene to the next.
As much as I enjoyed Cereza’s character I must admit her parents are my favorite. It was refreshing to read both supernatural and erotic scenes where the thirty and forty-somethings are just as sexy and powerful as their younger counterparts. Overall a great story for anyone who enjoys risqué supernatural. Very hot!

Once again, I have read a book series out of order. But like the other book series’ where I read them out of order, this book stands great on its own. The series is named; “The Prophecy Girl Trilogy” and the first book is called “The Magician’s Lover”
Book two; “The Magi’s Daughter” is set twenty years after “The Magician’s Lover” where Lindsey Mikhailov, a magi is married to another magi named Dmitiri and they have a daughter named Cereza. Although she is eighteen, she is not aware of her powers since her parents have kept her in the dark about their family history. Even though her parents try to keep her unaware of her powers and try to teach her levels of maturity, she still comes off as a sexy character all the way through the story. Cereza is also unaware that she will have to take part in a prophecy where she will have to face off an old enemy of her parents by the name of Angelito Tarrago, an evil magus. Angelito is more than determined to defeat her so he can gain his revenge against her parents.
Danielle Austen was about to take an epic story and blend in naturally with erotica. Not to mention very well developed characters and twist after twist within the storyline. As I said before, if you haven’t read the first book of the trilogy and you’re eager to read this one first, it’s no big deal. There might be a few things that you’ll be unfamiliar with but I was able to understand the majority of the story. When I get a chance, I’ll definitely want to read the first and finale book.
I love the detail in this book. I also love the fact that it isn't overly sexual. There is actually a story to follow and get caught up in. Hope there is more soon.
To be honest, I did not think I would ever finish this book. Just seemed way too girly for my tastes. Then one day I grabbed my tablet, opened the book and continued...
Loved it. I am not going to wax lyrical about it for paragraphs and paragraphs on end.
Just going to say there is a reason this book is one of my favourites. Great adventure. Great characters. And of course great amounts of great sex scenes. And a great story!
The Magi's Daughter is fantastic jumping point for the Prophecy girl Trilogy. A fast moving super- natural tale littered with sexy erotic scenes full of details and class. Danielle writes with grace and smoothness that just flows through your mind, her erotic scenes are well thought out and read like poetry. Cereza is a sexy as hell character, that excited me every time she came up. She is complex with a great character arc that will leave you longing for more! Looking forward to reading the next book.
The general storyline of the book was fantastic. The fantasy elements and the sex scenes were good. There were even a few twists I didn't see coming. I did not read the first book, but it wasn't hard to delve into this book without it.
I hated the transitions of the story though. It abruptly went from one character's plot line to another's without any real break. I was constantly back tracking to figure out which character's point view I was supposed to be reading at any given time. The storylines were broken up so it was hard to follow along. I almost gave up reading this book several times because of that.
I'm glad I got this as a free book. It would've been a 5 star book easily if it had better editing.
